The Work We Do
Jacksonville is home to NAVAIR’s Fleet Readiness Center Southeast. We perform in-depth overhaul, repair, and modification of aircraft, engines, and aeronautical components. Jacksonville is the largest city in land area in the contiguous United States. Our mission is to maintain capability for and perform a complete range of intermediate-level and depot-level rework operations on designated weapon systems, accessories and equipment; to manufacture parts and assemblies as required; to provide engineering services in developing changes of hardware design; to furnish technical and other professional services on aircraft maintenance and logistics problems; and to perform, upon specific request or assignment, other levels of aircraft maintenance for eligible activities, and to perform all other functions and tasks as may be assigned by higher authority.
