Below are some activities you'll undertake as part of the onboarding process.

  • Become familiar with the NAVAIR organization and culture. 

  • View this short Welcome Aboard video that will take you through the onboarding process and things to know for your first 90 days.
  • Build connections with your supervisor and future team members, including your New Employee Navigator (aka sponsor), who can provide you with information, answer your questions about NAVAIR and the local area, and give personal perspective on how to succeed at NAVAIR.

  • Work with your supervisor to identify performance objectives and clarify your role on your team.

  • View insight about NAVAIR command vision and focus areas.

  • Complete the e-QIP Investigative Form for your security clearance. Refer to Applicant Tips for Successful eQIP Submission [PDF] when completing your forms. 

  • Review the available benefits. You will need to make any benefits elections within the first few weeks of coming on board.

  • Complete online cybersecurity training before your start date if directed by your HR specialist.

  • Download the NAVAIR Onboarding App to track your onboarding progress or use the Onboarding Checklist [PDF].

  • Download the NAVAIR Employee Handbook [PDF] to help you navigate employment with NAVAIR.
